  1. Nomination papers must be delivered to the Returning Officer, ELIZABETH HOUSE, WALPOLE LOKE, DEREHAM, NORFOLK, NR19 1EE on any working day after the date of this notice, (between 9am and 4pm) but no later than 4pm on Friday 23 January 2026. (Please contact the Elections team in advance to make an appointment.) 

 

  1. Nomination papers may be obtained from the offices of the Returning Officer, ELIZABETH HOUSE, WALPOLE LOKE, DEREHAM, NORFOLK, NR19 1EE, during the times stated above.

 

  1. If an election is contested the poll will take place on Thursday, 19 February 2026.

 

  1. Applications to register to vote must reach the Electoral Registration Officer by 12       midnight on Tuesday 3 February 2026. Applications can be made online: https://www.gov.uk/register-to-vote 

 

  1. Applications, amendments or cancellations of postal votes and amendments or cancellations of proxy votes must reach the Electoral Registration Officer at ELIZABETH HOUSE, WALPOLE LOKE, DEREHAM, NORFOLK, NR19 1EE by 5pm on Wednesday, 4 February 2026. 

 

  1. New applications to vote by proxy at this election must reach the Electoral Registration Officer at ELIZABETH HOUSE, WALPOLE LOKE, DEREHAM, NORFOLK, NR19 1EE by 5pm on Wednesday, 11 February 2026. 

 

  1. Applications for Voter Authority Certificates must be made by 5pm on Wednesday 11 February 2026, applications can be made online at  

https://www.gov.uk/apply-for-photo-id-voter-authority-certificate

 

  1. Applications to vote by emergency proxy at this election on the grounds of physical incapacity or for work/service reasons must reach the Electoral Registration Officer at ELIZABETH HOUSE, WALPOLE LOKE, DEREHAM, NORFOLK, NR19 1EE by 5pm on Thursday, 19 February 2026.The physical incapacity must have occurred after 5pm on Wednesday,11 February 2026. To apply on the grounds of work/service, the person must have become aware that they cannot go to the polling station in person after 5pm on Wednesday,11 February 2026.
